Day 1: Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Saadani National Park

Early morning departure from Zanzibar on the 07:00 am ferry to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival at approximately 08:30 am, you will be met by your professional driver-guide and begin the scenic drive to Saadani National Park (approximately 4 hours), located along the northern coast of Tanzania.
Arrive in time for lunch at Simply Saadani Camp, a charming lodge set near the beach. In the afternoon, depart for your first game drive in Saadani National Park. Explore the savannah plains where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, antelopes, and possibly lions.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Safari on the Wami River

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing in Saadani National Park. The highlight of today is a boat safari along the Wami River. As you cruise gently along the river, you will see hippos wallowing in the water, large crocodiles basking on sandbanks, and a rich variety of coastal and riverine birdlife.
Keep an eye on the trees along the riverbanks for black and white Colobus monkeys playing in the forest canopy.
In the afternoon, continue with a game drive exploring different areas of the park, including open plains and coastal bushland.
Return to Simply Saadani Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Early Morning Walking Safari – Return to Dar es Salaam – Zanzibar

Start your day with an early morning guided walking safari accompanied by an armed ranger. This experience allows you to explore the park on foot, learning about animal tracks, plants, and the smaller details of the ecosystem.
Return to the lodge for breakfast.
After breakfast, depart for the drive back to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar.
On arrival in Zanzibar, transfer back to your hotel.
